I don't see it that way at all, I reckon that's overs for Higgins and North have done well to get that for him.

They need picks in the top 30, they now have 2,9,25,30 and some 50's* - 4 in the top 30 is a good start.

Would expect Norf to bundle up picks 25 & 30 for the WB top 10 pick in the lead up to the draft and go in with 3 x top 10 picks.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

we could have kept him, he is contracted for 2021, but at 32 he aint going to be part of our next successful period, has been awesome for us and I wish him well at the Cats.

We will get inside 30 for BBB so that will be 5 in the top 30 come draft day, we have never had even close to a hand like that

You still need these experience guys to assist the young draft picks though.
Trust me as a Carlton supporter I’ve seen it for over 10 years now.
Dangerous ploy moving on good quality players just to get draft picks.

Cunnington, Ziebell, Goldstein, Tarrant, McDonald. Still plenty of older heads there.
Need to get the coaching appointments right. I’d definitely take David Noble with Mark Williams as assistant.

Are they A graders though?
I think Higgins was.

Like at Carlton we had too many B graders with Murph, Kruezer, Simo, even Gibbs when he was there teaching the kids.

You need to keep your A graders at all costs I think.

North are bottoming out, Higgins obviously doesn't have his heart in it, 32, pick 30, good riddance I'd say. One bloke will make not one iota of difference to North in the next 2 years.

Funds are tight down there since they’re paying 2 coaches already so he can do both!

I don't watch a great deal of Sydney, but cannot understand the hype over Aliir Aliir.

Strange. He definitely said recently he is on the CEO path. this would seem like an offer too good to refuse with some AFL assistance similar to his move to Brisbane...

I don't think there's "hype", I think most people realise Port need a big bodied defender who can swing forward or ruck in the defensive 50 and being able to target one and nab one who is in contract for a future 2nd rounder is good shopping. Needs based, not over priced, good shopping.

I just think he looks a little clumsy for mine and could be found out. Anyway like I said I don't watch Sydney much so might have the wrong perception.

I thought he came of age a little this season, I didn't rate him much beforehand but seen a couple of games where he went alright in 2020, probably the only two games I watched, one was against Port and the other was before the break I reckon.
