Old mate Spurrier really hasn't got many answers today.. surely she should've had more information before this presser?

Lot of "I don't knows"

With my experiences of women "I don't know" is on the same level as "whatever" and "I don't care"

She’s gets an A+ for avoiding and deflecting any question of substance.
Waste of time having the press conference.

Very concerning answers from the commissioner around that.

"we remain committed to a normal xmas"
"we remain confident the boarder will open on dec 1"
"I don't want to forecast other aspects until after tomorrows meeting"

Clearly there is a shift and community sport is now at real risk of being further delayed.

Definitely the worst of the pressers.

Looks like they felt they were obliged to have a presser despite their not being any real news for them to update.

Tomorrows presser should be the one which explains whether the December 1 deadline on easing restrictions will be upheld.

Lots of reasons.
Australia capped at around 7,000 returnees per week currently but with Melbourne and now Adelaide closed to international arrivals there is less than that coming in. Cost and availability of flights is preventing some and others may have been on work visas that have now expired.

Yeah I agree with this big time. Surely if through everything your only now looking to come back its purely down to your own selfish needs/wants/choices/personal circumstance changing.

I have one mate on facebook who is over in Canada. He was working doing different jobs here and there and decided he would stay over there throughout the pandemic. All of sudden the work and the money has dried up and he wants to return. His now whinging about the cost to get home whilst all his family and friends sympathise with him.

Get fugged you were blantantly bragging about how you were living the best lifestyle over there while everyone was in lockdown and now you want to return.

I have absolutely no sympathy for any Australia over seas who didn't listen to this :

Tuesday 17 March 2020

"Consider whether you have access to health care and support systems if you get sick while overseas. If you decide to return to Australia, do so as soon as possible."
