I think i read that NSW typically do 20 - 25k of tests per day. So with all the hysterics that's probably up around the 35k mark.

With on 15 new cases outside the hotel Quarantine, that would be pleasing news for the NSW government.

Honestly though the over reaction from some states is crazy.

YAHHH the sheep loving being tested

Why get tested if you have no Flu symptoms.

Only reason I had one back in Sept was because I had a sore throat and company policy dictates I had to have it done.

Have had sore throat and sniffles since however no testing for me this time guess what still no Wu Hu Flu

Yeah. If you're so anti-testing, why wouldn't you simply not disclose to your employer that you had a sore throat, thus avoiding the test? I mean, a sore throat's not something that a work colleague easily detect. :?

But you must've chosen to tell your company that you had a sore throat, otherwise how would they have known?

am Bays wrote:So this shit just got more real

Less than an hour ago I got told that one of my umpiring colleagues from tonight has been in close contact with someone from the Northern Sydney hotspot.

This person travelled to Darwin before the hot spot was declared but after the date 11/12 where people from that area need to self isolate.

So now to be on the safe side I’m isolating from my family and waiting to find out if that traveller a) has been to one of the identified sources centres (Avalon RSL/Beach) we don’t think they have. B) is COVID 19 positive (unlikely)

But we can’t be sure so now I’m in self imposed isolation, we are practising good hand hygiene and I am house bound.

99.99% sure nothing will come of this but want to do the responsible thing.

So after having minimal contact with someone who had been in contact with someone from the Northern Beaches, a phone call on Saturday morning (to the NT Health COVID-19 hotline) meant that I was cleared.

Did learn a few things though from the experience. Next time I am potentially exposed I will be ringing the hotline more quickly to get my self cleared.

Wasn't hard to follow the guidelines to protect my family and others until what I suspected was the outcome got confirmed.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Complacency has definitely set in up here at Clare. At our recreational centre we are having to remind 99.9% of customers to sign in. For the initial couple of weeks people were walking into the centre with their phones ready but that's well and truly turned now.

Was at the Ramsgate last night, saw heaps of people just walk straight past.

It is literally 2 clicks on your phone and its done, no more than 3 seconds of your life.

The pubs and restaurants are the only places that I've seen actually ask or insist on scanning/signing in.
