Looked pretty good indeed, much better than Shaw. I liked the intent he showed, especially against Lyon when he came on.

I don't think Shane Warne likes Travis Head. He described Head's dismissal as the most disappointing of the Australians today. I can't come at that. Surely you give some credit to Bumrah, who set him up perfectly. Travis looked the best of the Aussie bats until then. I was much more disappointed with Smith, Labuschagne and Paine who were all caught in the leg trap set by the Indians. All soft dismissals.

It was disappointing because the even though it was getting a little easier the work was only half-done but instead he was undone by an equally-talented but more determined cricketer.

IMO Wade's was the worst. Looked like a confused one-dayer player, not the hard-bitten hardnut that he was apparently brining to the team when he was bought back in a couple years ago (and, in fairness, has shown a few times).

Labuschagne's wasn't as bad as Paine's or Smith's IMO, his was a naturally reactive shot, however his sweep just before lunch was shocking and he looks like someone whose success has gone to his head by forcing/making shots of a more naturally talented player that aren't his usual hard-working accumulating-style game.

Watching them again for me the most disappointing was Wade's, he was 'in' and had a start, scored a boundary the ball before and plays a reckless, high risk shot against the spin. Fortunately for India Jadeja was under it to take the catch.
I agree with Head's dismissal that credit must go to Bumrah for the delivery he bowled. Set him up and then the wicket ball was angled in from around the wicket then just straighten enough to take the edge. Head wasn't in a good position but we have seen that delivery be very successful against most left handers in both first class and test cricket in recent times.

The dismissals of Smith, Labuschagne and Paine were annoying but credit must go to India for their catching. They were awful in the first test and Gill to get Labuschagne, Pujara to get Smith, Rahane to get Head and Vihari to get Paine were all great catches. It makes a hell of a difference when a team holds their catches!

I thought the same yesterday when Head first came in, he kept saying Head was probably under the most pressure to score runs and mentioned he cut his teeth on a flat Adelaide Oval where it’s suited to batsmen.

For the first half hour all he did was rag on Head and almost seem to be willing him to fail.

Yep, the carry on about him was ridiculous. Was dropped a couple of times and had half a dozen near misses

Yep, big time!! But he is the best all rounder since Keith Miller

Hate the way we build up young blokes so they have so far to fall, has a bloody long way to go!!

But by Christ, it looks like he’s just rolling up at 80% and still he’s bowling 138, 143, 139 and 140!

Push through the crease son and follow thru to to the keeper..

He’s got some talent but as you all say let him develop in 3-4 years time we could have a beauty!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not sure if its been mentioned previously but just turned the channel to check the score in the NZ vs PAK game and was weird to see the Pakistan players using sweat from the face to shine the ball. Funny how quickly we become accustomed to things. Looked completely out of whack. Is it only banned in selected countries??
