Spurs back on top again after beating Manc. This time they might stay there for a whole week.

Stop the comp now!
Despite beating City 2 nil we had 4 shots to their 22!
Still it's a manager's job to get results and Jose is doing that!

Have backed Liverpool's opponents via "Double Chance" last 3 games - Only good thing to come from them. Dirty with myself i didn't SGM Ings into a Saints win #-o

Very happy with this mornings result. Liverpool off the boil at the moment and they play ManU next. EPL is very open this year.

We haven't been near our best since the opening 30 rounds of the previous season, for various reasons. Interesting that Salah's bright start to the season has stopped since one of his compatriots and close friends came out saying Mo wants a move to Real Madrid - Actually wouldn't be surprised if the club needs to cash in on him, so the off-season will be interesting. (Be surprised if we're not trying to land one of the bigger names - Haaland, Sancho, Mbappe etc)

Losing our 2 CB's has hurt more than those outside of Anfield care to mention - Playing midfielders back there has hurt our midfield creativity (which tbh wasn't overly strong anyway). TAA has gone off the boil in a pretty big way - We always knew his defending was suss, but he made up for it with enterprise going forward - 38 intercepted passes yesterday, THIRTY EIGHT

You're right that it's a crazy year and anything could happen, but I think the two Manchester sides fight it out from here, and you'd probably have to lean toward the Blue half given they've been there and done it before fairly regularly and recently.

ManC were far too good for ManU in the League Cup semi this morning. City are playing very well at the moment and entitled to be title favourites. I think it's a 3 way go between Liverpool, ManC and Spurs, but still a long way to go with European commitments, injuries and Covid to play a role.

I bet the rest of the comp is stoked that Spurs ran Liverpool back into some form this morning.
You're welcome. :?

Sounds like we copped a long term injury to our 3rd and last remaining senior CB though. Been absolutely cursed this campaign, City should walk the league in now unless their crosstown rivals can have a say.

Yeah, can't see City dropping points to any of those bottom clubs like United and Liverpool have. The battle for Euro spots will be very interesting.

They gotta get a better handle on it for sure .. Still amazes me that Ings can be ruled offside for a non-usable part of his body, we've had it happen a few times (as Im sure most others have too).

I feel sorry for the younger generation that never got to experience the unbridled joy when a goal went in without having to sweat on the review, changed the fabric of sports like Soccer, Aussie Rules and Rugby League.

It is the law of the game though, his sleeve was offside.
How many clubs are going to come out in singlets this week?

Anyway I don't want to talk bout soccer atm....

Yeah, my argument is more that (imho) only body parts that can legally make contact with the ball should be considered for offside infringements.

Whats going on at the Lane mate? Jose's customary slide set in, or just a speed hump?
