He's being spoken about like he's the saviour of the clubs midfield, he needs to make the side first and may make me eat my words, won't be the last one to do so if he does. :D

Spoken about by daisy... cmon mate

Youre both wanchors, all i said was you dont recruit him and not play him.
Obviously i was wrong and Booney is the only one that knows anything about everything.

I didn't pick the side d*ckhead. Read the post.

haha i knew i cut and pasted someone incorrectly. EFA

If plowman and Betts are in our best 22 another year of being happy to run 13th.
McGovern needs to repay the faith and Dow hopefully isnt scared of contact or his career will be over at end of the season
Maybe a bitter old Carlton fan who has been burnt too often over the last 20 years but not expecting too much again this year but hoping to be surprised.
A lot of expectation for Williams to be a dominating Mid for someone who has never been a midfielder.

This is the thing Beefy, I don't want anyone 'dominating' anything. We have a healthy dose of players who can run through the midfield this season which is very different to recent seasons. Our depth has been bolstered in the past few years by good drafting and trading, given that my emergency list would've been first selections one or two years ago (Fogarty aside).

Completely agree on McGovern and Dow though.

Setterfield in place of Dow, Pittonet in place of De Koning and no Charlie Curnow. Maybe they've written him off for the season.

Still a fairly old side, thats been the issue with Carlton's rebuild, not prepared to strip right back and back in/develop their youth

Yeah, point taken, I thought Lockwood was under utilised, he was the first player that I remember that used to run to the bench after kicking a goal, I've never understood the logic.
