New Zealand would be top, us second, them third

Are you sure?

Yeah this the current table

https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc ... -standings

There is no point weighting for home and away series so if we draw the series we split equal points with India, obviously our PCT stays higher than them.

New Zealand would go top though so India would drop out of the top two spots.

I've seen the table, that's why i asked - dont think a draw will see either Australia or India drop below NZ on PCT

Just going off what the ABC said would happen. Not sure if that includes NZ beating Pakistan in there series

Yeah but it’s point percentage per game so just coz they have an extra series doesn’t mean they will score extra points in fact their PCT could possibly go down.

Pujara is a seriously tough individual.
Physically but more importantly in cricket.... Mentally tough.
Not seen too many blokes take the pounding he's copped and hang in there. ( verbally as well)
Could teach a few of our blokes a thing or three.

It was explained last night on ABC that an Australian win and we are almost guaranteed of top, a draw and we need 1 win in South Africa whilst a loss means we would need 2 wins in South Africa.
India would pretty much need to sweep England to stay in 2nd if they lost today

India seem to have a strange (but working) plan to the day.
Pujara - make sure we dont lose
Everyone else - keep us within striking distance in last hour
