Has anyone here ever had to complete a form to oppose a development in their area?

We've just received a letter from PAE to advise that the owners of the little set of shops across the road have bought the residential house next door and are planning on knocking the house down to extend the shops and build a gym.

That normally won't be reason NOT to build it. If the council can see more money coming their way and it's not environmentally detrimental, then you might find it difficult to oppose it.

Is there a specific requirement for any tradie under the age of 30 to have a filthy, stinking modern day mullet at the moment?

They would have to change the use of the property from resi to commercial first, depends if they have the support of the council to do that or not. That would be the starting point.

When I go for my run in the afternoon there's these 3 chicks who go to a gym on Churchill road, after their gym session they stand outside their car chatting sucking down darts in their active wear, I have a bit of a chuckle as I pass, they're pretty tidy though I might add.

Easiest guarantee for that type of stuff is the Mt Lofty summit hike/run. You'll get knocked out by he waft of channel no.5 but the views are spectacular...

I've recently delayed my start time to be hitting the top of Churchill Road around the 6 o'clock mark.

heavily increased traffic in a small side street, and the noise, especially if it ends up being a 24 hour gym

Any neighbours share the same sentiment? Might be worth collectively engaging a planning expert to help you.

only got the letter last night so haven't had a chance to check yet, id dare say the neighbour next door to the house they're planning on dozing will have something to say about it, at the very least.
