Couldn't afford him, his manager told us he wouldn't get out of bed for what we were offering

I would've jumped at the opportunity had i not already re-committed at the Blues.

Return to Ingle Farm next year on the cards at this stage.

Ladder after Round 6
12 - Elizabeth
10 - St Pauls
08 - Trinity OS
06 - Rosewater
04 - Blackfriars OS
------------------------------
04 - Marion
02 - Ingle Farm
02 - Mawson Lakes
00 - Para Hills

Round 7
Mawson Lakes v Ingle Farm
Blackfriars OS v Rosewater
Para Hills v Marion
St Pauls v Trinity OS
Elizabeth - BYE

Well interesting ladder - obviously Elizabeth well clear, undefeated heading into their 'Bye', sets them up nicely for the back half of the season., and being 4 games clear of 5th, they're only a couple of wins away from locking up a finals spot already.

Blackfriars the biggest disappointment so far with just the two wins, both against lowly ranked sides, and should they lose this weekend then they'll drop out of the 5.

Ingle Farm I think will be the big mover in the back 9 - whilst only registering the one win so far, in the past two weeks have pushed the top 2 sides all the way before falling short. They should get Rosewater and Marion the next time around, and could well go into the Rd 13 clash with BOS with 3 wins on the trot following their bye. Momentum is everything.

Para Hills are struggling, Mawson Lakes not much better hard to see either of those sides having an impact this year - or next year in D7 for that matter.

Hard to think the current top 5 will be dislodged by the end of the year, but you never know.. injuries and cold weather hits and seasons can unravel rapidly - or accelerate just as quick.
