Very good coaching line up for WT!... Brad Young has one of the best cricket minds in the state, very handy to have around any grade club.

Absolutely. He was one of the main reasons we improved so much last year to make finals in 1st and 2nd Grade, the boys just thrived on everything he said.

From WT FB page:

Very pleased to announce another gun recruit for season 2021/22 with the news that Sutherland District Cricket Club & NSW leggie Daniel Fallins will join the Eagles.

Dan has a very impressive bio having already taken over 200 1st Grade Wickets in Sydney. Early in the 19/20 season, he made his limited-overs debut for the NSW Blues, and has played at domestic level in all three formats of the game.

Fallins is no stranger to Adelaide as he made a fantastic First Class debut in 2017-18 against the touring England side at Adelaide Oval, claiming 5-73, including the wicket of England captain Joe Root.

Daniel is making the move to SA with the goal of playing a lot more State cricket and we are keen to see him achieve that in the very near future.

They’ve done pretty well for most of their 160 odd years as a club.

I think Fallins may be the missing link. We have been lacking a decent wicket taking spinner since we sent Dom Bess off to get an England cap. No point making 400 plus runs every match if you cant bowl teams out.

Good move by Fallins to come to SA, Redbacks have no spinners on their list bar Pope so if he can get off to a great start he may find himself getting a match for them.

Had the pleasure of scoring with Hynesy several times over the years. A great guy, a great character and a great servant of the club. May you rest in peace, Steve.

He has been playing footy in Yorke Peninsula this year, must have done it playing there? Huge loss, with Pinson gone home too, lucky they got Sayers and McAndrew.

Was there a rumour that Ben Pengelly done the same?

Not sure Eags - I saw the post from Brodlach about an injury to an Adelaide player so I was only guessing it may be Pengelley? He has been playing in the 1s at the Unley Jets but since that post he hasn't played nor is he named in their As or Bs this week. May be just a coincidence?
With the Peckers that's a big out. Bowling now thin as who knows if Sayers will stay fit and also how much McAndrew would be there (in particular when BBL is on?). As mentioned Pinson gone and Summers in jail!

I believe Pengelley didn’t do serious damage but that’s not from a club source
