I think they should forfeit any games missed.

Depends on what numbers they have taken over, they still have a squad of top up players they can use

Whilst it (not playing) has not happened yet:

These are the problems you get for selling your soul (and selling out the league) by allowing them in. They are not our problem.

SA Football Commission needs to ensure that besides meeting for free dinner and drinks they actually look out for the best interests of South Australian football clubs that reside and play here. This does not and never has included the AFL clubs.

The Melbourne AFL clubs have destroyed their state league as well.

Apparently if Port and Crows don’t send players back from Melbourne, then Central will be playing Glenelg at Glenelg. They will find out tomorrow.

Seriously, what a load of shite. Bowing to accommodate "them" all the time. Why would they send players back and incur some costs, they use the SANFL as they like.

If they've taken their full lists, would they not at least consider swapping this round with Round 17 when The Others were due to play each other anyway at Adelaide? Maybe play their game in Melbourne somewhere at some stage, either on the weekend or during the week.

Apart from this specific weekend's matches, there is the wider issue as to whether having their whole lists in Melbourne may introduce a Covid contamination into their clubs. If this happens, then our whole pure competition is compromised. Bring on the Pure Ladder?

My solution (assuming they are not going to be in the SANFL again this year) is this:

-Keep the final 5, as they can't possibly make it 4 during the year
-Keep the ladders as they are. We all know that it's not fair when there's a large fluctuation of strength in the reserves teams throughout the year, so, if you keep the ladders as they are, I don't see that as any different. I say that, because, how then can you just take minor round games away from player records? Or just say they are in the records of the players, but the matches aren't part of the season any more?

This means that Central, Glenelg, Norwood and South would have to play another match, given that either side hasn't played one of them a second time
So, have Central and Glenelg play again at the original slot they were meant to, and Norwood and South play each other again next week.

On that last point, yes, they played each other a few weeks ago, but it's not like that's not happened before - the 70s had this happen for example.

So, everyone one will have played 17 minor round matches.

And, the beauty of this is, we can extend the season two weeks (should postponements happen), and have the GF the week after the AFL does.

So we could go from a possible win against Port to getting smashed by Glenelg through no fault of our own .

You could play South again? And Norwood play Glenelg? Either way, it will be every team have the past matches stripped or do that to ensure everyone plays 17 matches.

Ok I’ve been out in my place on Twitter lol no Adelaide AFL fan believes that Adelaide will not be playing in the sanfl
They think the players will be flown back to play SANFL
Why because the AFL hasn’t told the Sanfl lmao
