The Channel 7 Australia Facebook Post that headline 'Three Black Players Miss Penalty'

They have released a public statement to apologise but surely there has to be greater repercussions for blatant racism like that.

Were they trying to reference/mock the linked headline (about those players being attacked racially) by being too clever by half? Seems an odd thing to write in this day and age.

Yep, obviously nothing can take away the quote once done but surely some form of ban placed on them by Facebook would be as close to an appropriate outcome as possible. With social media being so critical it would hurt them to not have it for a period of time.

Not much I can do but have unfriended all my Channel 7 pages in protest. They can piss of out my algorithm.

Read that yesterday before they were called out on it and thought at the time "WTF, surely they can't say that" .. I can't see what possible excuse they could come up with to make that acceptable.

Agree it wasn't until the apology today that I genuinely believed it wasn't 'fake news' and someone being creative with their editing skills.

I watched the game including the penalty kicks.
Not once did I notice, or think, colour; only that two of them are from Man U and there's going to be hell to pay for them

That's really bad from Channel 7

The feeble excuse I heard was identifying them as black was because in the article they talk about the racial vilification that happened to them after the match. What a bullsh1t excuse. Headline grabbing grubs.

It was only 3.30pm so probably needed a top up

When the cops asked him to walk in a straight line he took 3 steps backwards and fell over.
Also fell over in the store and took out a gel dispenser but it was millimetres away from a display which had dozens of bottles of red. How he missed it we have no idea!

I commented on this when it first came to light. Just an amazing set of circumstances IMO. This makes zero sense to me.

What I want to know is why was the "surgeon" storing one of the "patient's" tackles in his freezer?
