Listened to the ABC on the radio on the way home. One caller made the point that by calling these restrictions "not a lockdown", the SA govt has effectively denied non-essential workers access to federal govt assistance packages. So for the better part of a week, at least, some folks have nothing to live on. Not that any place worth spending money on will be open...

Only a small thing, but my wife's nail chick rang her in tears tonight as she cannot work for the rest of the week and asked if she could go over tonight to get her nails done instead of the appointment on Friday, this whole thing is depressing enough without having to think about your business and livelihood.

Yep have spent my afternoon telling casual staff there is no work for them and then having permanent staff that we cant make any promises to any longer than this Friday because of the risk we may have to stand them down.

Plenty still open.
A lockdown is the next stage and would involve pubs, restaurants and cafes being closed aswell as WFH directive.
