What’s his background?

Played there and has been coaching at the club for a while with the lower grade teams I think. Don't know him personally but is highly regarded by the Sturt players

Heard Sturt have appointed former Glenelg coach Peter Muggleton as 1st Grade coach. Excellent appointment. East Torrens spewing as they were telling everyone he was their new coach

ET still have no coach and using senior players to take on more coaching roles similar to how Weaver and TTG operated. Not sure how that will work.

Has Muggleton coached at Sturt before? I'm pretty sure he played there from memory.

PS - heard a rumour that Southern Districts offered huge coin for a couple of up and coming Sturt players to make the move down the Expressway! They were summarily knocked back.

Now Chadd Sayers announced as Assistant Coach of Papua New Guinea. Starting off with the Twenty20 World Cup. Don’t know how much of the season he will miss, but obviously the start of season won’t be around.

Turley aiming to be back after Xmas, ambitious target.

Depends on how much he commits, and effort put in - think B grade eventually.

He's 6'4" bowls reasonable pace with swing and hits a looooong ball.. and unlike all the other indian lads at our club, he's actually good in the field haha

Yep ok. I saw Adelaide's C's (3rds) in a semi final last summer. Their bowling, in particular the quicks were handy but all short skidder type blokes, so if he has some height about him, he may well be a good pick up for them. I'd say he'd get more of a crack at Adelaide than down at the Bay. Those boys in the 3'rds cleaned up my son's team in the GF. Had one very good bowler who basically won the game for them, he was a bit of an older bloke though..

Ladies District Cricket at SDCC in big trouble.
4 girls wanting a clearance to Glenelg and 22 girls to Adelaide but SDCC are refusing to clear them and keep appealing to the SACA.
I think they are assuming that if they all go to Adelaide then a permit/licence to field a side in the comp will be automatic but I hear they are very hard to get.

SACA told them to clear them too but they are refusing to.

If that is the case then they should apply for a licence like every other club who have a women's side had to do 2-3 years ago!
Lot of time and effort went into each clubs proposal addressing each of the criteria so ACC should not be allowed a free pass! IMO
