Well if it becomes a Top 3 finals series, it will still make for an interesting finish to the season.

Walkerville and SMOSH is a massive game next week. If the Cats can win on the road, the Top 3 would be secured.. but a SMOSH win keeps the door ajar albeit slight.

Hope Valley also have a tough finish.

SMOSH & Valley would need to win all 4 matches, and hope that Walkerville or Morphy Park win 0/4 or 1/4 at worst.

Relegation battle is a three horse race - Woodville South with work to do, Pulteney sliding and Gepps Cross who are in the soundest spot so far.

Next week Woodville South v Pulteney may well decide who goes down - if Woody Sth win, then you'd expect them to beat Kilburn, which would give them 5 wins for the year, Blues finish with Gepps, Morphy Pk and Walkies.

Gepps look safest, but they play Pulteney and Woody Sth who are fighting to avoid relegation, both danger games, and then finish with Morphy Pk and SMOSH - it's not unreasonable to think they could easily drop all 4.

It hasn’t been decided so people are just guessing. This latest Lockdown in Melbourne and case in Tassie should be more of a worry. Would not be surprised if it gets to only a Grand Final between 1 vs 2, as the League needs to make some money or next year will be a struggle for Clubs.

If I was betting I still think top 3 where top team goes straight thru to GF so they get promoted and 2 vs 3 in Prelim.

I say keep finals format under wraps for a few more weeks.. forget about the topic and continue to sell the dream of a normal finals series to your members.

Word on the street is some unrest at pulteney........ possibly a change at the top with the great man Bedgegood taking the reins for the remainder of the year? Better late than never.

I'm hearing that Bedgegood has been offered a 2 year deal with the option for a 3rd if certain KPIs are met. $10k a year not bad going. They have great belief in Bedges ability to engage and communicate with the players along with his excellent ability to teach and develop the younger ones.

Should be noted, that the BBQ performance has significantly improved since I arrived.

Not perfect, still work to be done, but streets ahead of where it was at. 8)

I'll leave it in a better place than I found it. :D
