Not sure it’s a choke.
Australia ranked 9 in the World
England are ranked 6 and both the Scots and Welsh are in top 25. This is a combined Great Britain side that should account for us most times

Non-existent penalty awarded to the brits; goal saved, justice prevails.

Sublime goal to the Aussiesnat the other end not 60 seconds later. Suffer in yer jocks, brits.

Massive effort by the Australian in the 10,000km, only really folded in the last lap after looking pretty good.

Gotta feel for him, that was so gutsy. Lap to go was coming 9th and still with the main pack. The pack just sprinted and he couldn’t go with them, but he could hardly run, collapsed to the track, staggered to the line. Was hard to watch

Very gutsy. Our whole house at the same time just yelled “get up”. Cheered him over the line

How good are the Ethiopians?
They just play with everyone else knowing they can sprint a lap at the end.

Yeah that was insane, just to have the determination/spirit to drive yourself so hard to reach that point of exhaustion is amazing.

Edit - Patrick Tiernan, thought i'd at least look up his name, bloody good effort.

Patrick Tiernan could have coasted to a 19th finish and go home unknown or go balls out for a 19th finish and be a household name. Brilliant run Pat left it all out there!
