I love hanging shit on a Crows player but Sloan is absolute bottom of that list.

Quality on and off the field, obviously age is catching up with him but at his peak was a brute force.

Words to the effect the good feelings outside the club are false and there are still issues inside culture and behaviour wise that needs to improve. He (said) it was coming from a good place and he wants them to succeed, but seemed very bitter.

Then the icing on the cake that proved it...

"I probably won’t go (to the BNF). It’s time for me to move on. It’s not that I have nothing against the club, I just need to get myself fit, and being involved in those type of functions wont help."

Good luck to him, he has been a great club man and good player. Remember hadn’t played for two years and the club needs to get games into Butts and Worrell if we are to move forward.

I suppose it would be like working at a company for 12 years and being made redundant when you think you got more to give. Understandable.

Guess he was expecting a bit of loyalty back from the club. A Victorian recruit that didn't play the homesick card and given the DCM before turning 30!

On one hand he has a every right to be disappointed but also should understand the club's position

Yep agree, will be 30 in 6 weeks and having two years off who knows what he’ll be like.

Didn't he give a big speech about the club being bigger than the individual at the BnF a while back?

It's funny how someone who wants them to succeed and get better whacks them on national radio.

Very hard not to take that as a bitter ex employee
