Yep, they were on one of the Premier clubs for a long time.
It's a typical football club that has cricket type of scenario, footy brings money into clubs more that cricket does so they dip out.

Dont see it as fanfare, rather just introducing new players to the club players, members, supporters. Its an effort to increase comms throughout the TW cricket community.
