Doesn’t bother most of us. 17 failures every year. Final wins are meaningless if you don’t win the flag

Tell me about it. We were the only team in football history to be stuck in top four no man's land. If we get more veterans next season I'll spew.

Yeah you guys are stuck in the middle. I don’t blame you for topping up after making a GF last year and trying to squeeze what you can out of the list. If you go out in straight sets or even at the Prelim stage it will be interesting to see what direction you take. With no first round picks you might be better having a bit of a fire sale and hit the draft hard.

Dangerfield and Selwood aren't the players they were, obviously, time seems to be catching up on them more than most.

Dangerfield has lost his explosive pace from the contest, he's no longer able to get clear and his ball use has never been good, when it's under pressure it ordinary and Selwoods strength, that was his strength. pales compared to the new generation of bid bodied mids, he no longer makes an impact on the contest. Fascinating watching his form in 2022.

So if Toby gets off with a fine, "typical decision during finals, what a joke"
If Toby gets multiple games (which he should) "Ah the Toby Tax is applied"

Is there an outcome that suits everyone? Probably 1 week?

There's a precedent.

Diesel Williams Rd 1 1997, nine weeks and he wasn't even looking at the umpire when he made contact

Anything less than that is a joke
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Call me soft but I agree. Throw the book at him, at no point is deliberately making contact with an umpire acceptable regardless of how hard or not.

100% in my mind that the contact was on purpose and no attempt was made to avoid it. Look at the umpire and the umpire was like a statue he wasn't moving towards Toby or anything like that.

agree with you both. Should get 8-10 but won't. If he does, watch out for the "being racist is more favourable than bumping someone" comments

I'm going 4, they wont want to be seen given more than the Tex Walker case but also need to make a stance with a bit of Toby Tax applied.

This will ensure they wont have to deal with another Toby controversy if the Giants do make it all the way.

They'll give him 2 so he's eligible for the GF if they make it. He should get 6
