My counter to that is petrol stations would be there regardless and employ the same amount of people without OTR buying them out and driving the prices up.

Have to say for an SA Health run operation it's very slick with minimal ******* around/bureaucracy.

Also heartening to see people from seemingly every demographic doing their small part to get us back to some sense of normality.

How's the 5G reception now?

Last week when I needed fuel my local OTR was listed on the apps as competitive with others at $1.61 per litre for 98 octane. When I drove in it was $1.91. I gave them a wave and drove out to another outlet nearby where it was $1.61. Didn't save much but action taken on principal.

It's interesting, because we were told once we reach a reasonable level of vaccinated people life would return to normal - but this is a clear example of somewhere where that's not the case.

Even at 95% vaccination SA hospitals are going to be drowned if they open everything up
They have no other way of combatting this problem other than these shutdowns.
