On paper you’re right, never know on the big day.

Incredibly proud of our club today. At the end of 2016 we were a complete rabble after being relegated from D4 with 1 win. We also would have been relegated from D5 at the end of 2017 if it wasn’t for a Rosewater player head butting a Pooraka opponent in r18 and stripping Rosewater of 6 premiership points. We stayed in D5 and since then we lost an elimination, have been rolled in straight sets after choking in 2019 and then from there losing by a point to a side who I regard as the best I’ve seen play D5. To see our club stick at it and put 3 Senior men’s sides in to GF’s for the first time in our 114 year history this year is remarkable. Love the character of our boys and I’m backing them in next week.

Well done to Kenilworth, was a pretty tight game throughout.

Absolutely gutted if I’m honest

Quick shout out to Lockleys, Hectorville, Kenilworth and CLG for the way they left all 4 x changerooms on Saturday. A credit to your clubs for leaving them exactly how you found them. Respect.

Apologies to CLG for the blocked sewerage pipe that decided to spill over right outside your rooms just as you were arriving. Shit timing. Pun intended

Good luck to all teams this week. Kenilworth looked pretty slick, especially in the second half. The other final was shown on our TV during the Kookas v CLG game. Kenilworth this week for me.

Big thanks for hope valley for hosting.

The blocked drain wasn’t great but it wasn’t the biggest obstacle we’ve been faced with this year

Kookas just too good in the big moments and took their chances. Lots of respect between the two clubs

We are building a very strong culture within our club which we should be very proud of. With a junior program ready to explode we should see some success in the near future.

Heard whispers throughout the year that CLG would be moving on their coach. Any truth to this after playing finals?

Anyone else find it weird EP decided to advertise for a new A grade coach the night before their prelim?

Surely the timing could’ve been better and waited until today.

Did seem weird when I saw it bob up on my feed.

Only the players would be able to say whether it was a distraction or point of topic on the day of the game though.

After 3 years the travel has taken it's toll tbh. Loved my time up there and couldn't thank the club enough, but with work, family etc, you just can't fit it all in. Who know's, I may be heading back to town ;)

Over the last 20 years even though Ben’s coached many other clubs, he has always maintained a link of some sorts to Kenilworth and made a lot of good relationships with many people at the club over that time. I know he’s enjoyed his role change compared to 30+ years of coaching and playing. It’s also been good for our hard working off field teams to have that extra person that understands what Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday looks like and provides that support whether it be through actions and/or words. I’ve always had a lot of time for Ben and it’s good to see him back.

EP already signed their cricket coach.

Football I’m hearing it’s gonna be Alan Harvey + Ben McMullen combo.

I’m going to Smithfield to sit in a forward pocket and kick 60.
