Fly to Tasmania then to Brisbane then to Perth then to Adelaide while Port Adelaide lead a normal life back in SA the whole time, have one less game and almost a full list to choose from.
All things being equal I'd give the Dogs a chance but hard to see them overcoming their leadup.
Port should be shorter IMHO.

And this is why if Port don’t win, it will be one of the all time chokes.

Deep down you know it, all Port supporters know it.

Booney wrote:I don't think most people truly appreciate what choke, in a sporting sense, means.

Think day 4 of the Masters, you're 5 shots in front going into Sunday, you go birdie, par, birdie for a 6 shot lead and then go 8 over on the back 9 to lose it with a 4 putt on the 18th. That's a choke. Adelaide in 2017, that's a choke. Top all year, two home finals where they belt the opposition then lose the GF.

Winning the last minor round game by 2 points to go from 5th to 2nd isn't what you'd call a 7 shot lead with 9 to play.

U sure you're not thinking of Port last year. Crows weren't top all year in 2017. Port were actually top after round 2 in 2017.

Port to play a typical port finals game - dominate possession, dominate inside 50s, waste shots at goal and let the dogs get easy ones out the back. Dogs to win in a low scoring game.

Cats to come out slow and chase a 3-4 goal deficit for the whole game, keeping me interested but ultimately pissed off at another finals loss.

Hoping im wrong on both accounts but history says otherwise.

Cats have Melbourne covered.
Fairly confident we'll win by 6 goals.
We've been ordinary in last couple of weeks. So we are due to absolutely dominate a game for 4 quarters.

Yeah we will shit it in. Danger might even have an influence this week. If he does, we'll get up by 10 goals.

Expect a few changes to the Doggies lineup. Crozier, Cordy, Martin and Richards all chances of returning from injury. Wallis a chance as medi sub, McNeil an outside chance of coming in.

I might barrack for Melbourne!
Just put a few figures together for flights, tix accom, car hire, side trips to Margaret River, etc would cost for a week long WA trip to watch the GF and it's taken half of my savings for a proposed Europe trip next year. Would mean I'd have to delay that by a year or start working more than 3 days a week again. And that doesn't even take into account the forms that have to be filled in and the possibility of Covid stuffing the whole thing up.
Urgh.

You realise there talking about the Melbourne Demons, the ones that wear the dark blue and red, the ones that play home games at the MCG. Grand old flag Melbourne Demons...

Everything is set up for a classic Melbourne failure.

You got some VO2 Max/Beep test/2-3 km time trial results to substantiate they are the fittest sides ATM?

But I get where you're going and cant produce data to argue against your assumption. ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'd hope so, even in my decrepit state I'd expect to be able to punch out a 30 mls/kg/min VO2 max
