**** circus out there

I would say they realised they had to constitutional advertise the job so quickly wacked it up.

If you believe that, then you're dumber than I give you credit for. :P

I hate when people roll out the "constitutional" line when advertising for new coaches... just a load of waft

When I was involved in the cricket there in the early 2000's we had to do that each year. I remember on some occasions it sititng up on the toilet wall for a day and then be taking down.

Admittedly I haven't ever looked at the constitution haha.

Haha agree with this.

Unless your constitution states specifically how and where you have to advertise, you can put a sticky note on the back of a cubicle in the women's bathroom and say you 'advertised.'

Without viewing most constitutions, I would hazard a guess most would only stipulate the requirements for a coach to be appointed for certain length term moreso than a requirement to advertise.

Also, clubs should be updating their constitution as required and removing outdated clauses.

I think ours just says the committee appoints a coach each year

So in a nutshell they can re-sign their current coaches (or potential coaches) during the season for the following season, and if they want a new coach, then they can advertise by whatever means they choose practicable at the conclusion of the season?

Essentially it's not "constitutional" to advertise for the sake of advertising if you've got your man already.

The word ‘shall’ would mean in your constitution it’s a choice.

Agree having to advertise for the sake of it is extremely pointless and outdated.

Salisbury already started spending up big with Jack Matthews signing up last night..
The club is spending more than ever to be irrelevant in div 5 after spending the last 15 years at top of div 4/bottom of div 3. Maybe they should've spent their money on a good coach who is going to do nothing but spend all their money with nothing to show expect for failed seasons.

Good to see there is confidentiality in the application if that’s true.

Good luck to both teams today, thinking it might be Kenilworth’s day by 37 points. It will be a cracker of a game just like this division has served up all season.

People apply for jobs and the employee do a reference check. Same as football club they check what is written on the application then decide it they are going to interview them or not.

So you’re saying a referee has broken his confidentiality? Great referee then.

Great game Pooraka vs Kenilworth today. Last week with Eastern Park was an ugly game of footy but this week both teams played open attractive footy.

I must say Kilburn did a great job of hosting the final. 4 bars and plenty of food options, was a great crowd from Pooraka especially but also Lockleys and Kenilworth.

No, I am saying if you have any coach applying for jobs that club is going to check with people from his previous clubs to get a info on that coach. A coach is only going to put people on the application that are going to say what he wants to say.
