Not your best work here.
18 touches in your final game hardly cause to file a missing persons report...
Gee, I'd be happy with 18 touches at age 34!

Congrats to Joel Cross on a fantastic career. There won't be too many 200 gamers in the SANFL any more. Especially from interstate recruits.

74 today is Barrie. He was a tad before my time but my old man who definitely knows his footy, still to this day says he’s the greatest footballer he’s ever seen.

Feel a bit for South fans, actually thought they had some good support last night. Well done to them on a good finals series. Wasn't impressed by our performance, South had lots of chances. We still turned it over a bit but luckily South didn't take advantage. Effort was better last night though, harder at the football and opposition and i do think we will be better for another run heading into the GF.

Bitterly disappointed.- Part of being a south supporter guess.- bays too good- won the ball in tight and too good on the spread.
We had 11 non contributors, who really didnt give a yelp.
Had our opportunities early in the last quarter but inaccuracy killed us. 1 goal 7- wont cut the mustard Im afraid.
Horne-Francis was exceptional. Ably supported by Schwarz,Sampson and maybe Roberts...

Yup, true champion of the club and SANFL.

All the best to him. Great servant who stuck at it and sadly didn't achieve the ultimate goal.

I may have returned serve with interest on an innocent party and I’ll cop that bit like Allers had to cop it in that game too when he got square dinkum

Scrappy game. South had their moments but didn't make the best of them. Glenelg too frittered a lot of chances with bad choices, poor delivery and butterfingers, but did at least score when they could. Won all 4 quarters which was pleasing, particularly since South dominated the first half of the second.

Kudos to the South fans within earshot of us who were good for jovial banter all night. 'tis a shame the Grand Final will not be Bays vs South. Keep the faith Panthers, your time will come. Congrats to Crossy on a stellar career.

Rather than starting a new thread for it: the SANFL app tells me that the Dogs have rolled the Eagles in the reserves prelim with the last score of the match. Bays v Dogs reserves granny next week.

Fortunately for Paul Thomas it wasn’t Kevin Muscat coming to collect the ball over the boundary line and instead a young Eagles player he pushed into with a raised elbow as he went to collect the ball. Poor form by Thomas.

Mead and Haylock put their hand up for a GF berth, presuming Goldsworthy not available. Lehmann and Hardie probably the front runners for that spot. Hoile a dark horse with his pace and long left foot kick? Von Bertouch did himself no favours with his performance today.

Thought Haylock was excellent with his two way running.

With Sheedy’s emphasis on doing the basics well, lower & harder to win the footy, pressure and work rate Haylock looks like he’s jumped the front of the queue

Congratulations Crossy on your fine career, will definately be missed by all SANFL fans.
Geezus, how good is Horne-Smith, look forward to seeing his career continue!
Bays tackling and backline in general were superb last night.
Well do be to South for never giving up against a mighty side.

Went shopping at the Brickworks this morning, might be the last time in a long time when those Bays colours go up on the chimney there!
For the first time ever I'm on the Eagles wagon this week thanks to family connections and them being the local side. Can't see them getting close though.

Scrappy game which was on South's terms in the 1st half, when the Bays were able to break it open they looked the better team, but not by a whole lot.

5 of South's 6 goals kicked up their u18's

never been so nervous watching an opposition player, weird feeling
