Would be nice, but at the same time I would love Aaron to get another opportunity at AFL level; has had to go through a lot with injuries unfortunately.

It would be great but after 3 knee recons he might struggle for a while.
Darcy Fort won the cats reserves B and F,no chance we'll see him back.

DARCY FORT (GEELONG)

Despite being contracted at the Cats for next season, ruckman Darcy Fort has been linked to a move to the Brisbane Lions.

What does your club need this off season???

At the Dogs its all about quality over quantity.

We just need to get some proper decent SANFL footballers into our key positions, in particular ruck and down back. Our ressies have been decent for a few years now which suggest depth is probably not the issue, in saying that we don't have any real KPP from the ressies who look like they will be top end league footballers.

With the borders opening a bit more by next footy season it might make getting interstate recruits a bit easier, this is where we need to look imo. I think the country NSW recruiting zone looks to have run dry, we haven't had much success from there in recent years. On the other hand Tasmania seems to be a strong recruiting area for the club and Aiden Grace did that no harm.

As we have said we need to get height and size into the side. We need i think at least 2 big defenders we were monstered by big opposition forwards a ruckman at least 2 big forwards to take the pressure off of Aiden Grace and a goal scoring midfielder. We hve a lot of work to do hopefully now that Greg Edwards is in control we may see some movement in recruiting what we desperately need.

Agree, out of all the ways Greg Edwards can help us introducing a new recruiting strategy and structure will be the most valuable.

From an outside perspective North haven't had a problem recruiting in the last 5-10 years, not sure if that's correct.

And its not just players from interstate that will need to be addressed.
Greg is aware that, whilst the Club has a good rapport with BGL committee, its links with the actual Clubs are ordinary, and we are missing out on decent players.

100% bang on as well imo.

All clubs would face their troubles no doubt but we relied so heavily on our country zone especially given the changing demographic to our suburban zone. From what I see at a country club is that whilst the clubs really push SANFL on their juniors once they get to 21-23 years old and are not playing league they really push hard to entice them back at the expense of the SANFL club they are zoned to. Point in case is I am sure Barossa District were very actively pursuing Dew for the upcoming season, same as Willaston with Izzy McKenzie.

It's much more competitive market at the moment even in your own zones.
