I would play him.

The biggest risk is Glenelg playing Hannath.

Seriously, there is no way Vonbertouch gets a gig after his (non) effort last week. Haylock or McFarlane would be my picks to replace Goldsworthy based on prelim form.

Yep he wasn’t our best player but but there's more than one risk (the uncertainty on objectives) out there for both sides

It's about the match up.

Hannath was uncompetitive against Redden last time out. Hannath offers little around the ground and the risk is that to have a competitive ruckman, McBean is the normal second choice but as the leagues leading goalkicker he should remain forward.

Redden is the hardest ruckman in the league to out body and unless you have a leaper you concede the tap.

It's been a tiring week. Have been out looking for Joel.

Terry McAuliffe gave the Bays out at $1.61 as his best bet of the weekend last night on Get On SA.

Kiss of death.

Defence and and relentless attack at the ball and body wins Grand Finals. Port proved it in the 80s and 90s, Centrals proved it in the 00s and it is what won us the flag in 2019

The Eagles have had the best defence this year due to their relentless lower and harder, stronger for longer at the footy best exhibited for the majority of the 2nd Semi final.

However that is how we have won the majority especially when we have lifted our intensity in the last quarter of key games to win teh footy, create turnovers and work hard on the spread to get the ball into our forward line quickly to kick goals. We were poor in that aspect for teh majority of teh 2nd Semi and that cost us teh game by 4 four points.

Some key ins from our 2nd semi final side will help with that.

I think we can win provided we bring the intensity and are all in for four quarters of footy not one and a half.

I have the same feeling as 2019. Our best is better than their best.

Our destiny is in our hands. We need to bring our best footy and intensity for the majority of the game. We dot hat and we win. we play half arsed timid footy like we from the 18 min mark of the 1st qtr in the 2nd semi to 3/4 time, the Eagles will be deserved premiers and there will be some "fun" reading on here for me (don't think I don't know what's coming after last week ;) ) .

Both teams cannot afford to sit back and coast if either gets 4-5 goals up as both sides have the capacity to quickly put on goals if they get behind. Whoever wins this will be the team that plays a full 4 quarters.

Glenelg really haven’t played 4 solid quarters in a match all year. Would be nice to see it Sunday.
That side named is the our best lineup for the season.

Two significant changes from the second semi, both favouring glenelg. Partington in and Goldsworthy out. Prelim final game just what glenelg needed in terms of preparation. Poor weather may assist the Eags nullify glenelg's talls. Hoping Eags win with Sheedy to pull out some magic but think glenelg will.

Excellent summary. Agree with all of that. Glenelg needed to play last week as had limited footy due to COVID break, Byes and finishing top. Eagles needed the week off due to being banged up. Think Glenelg definitely will turn the tables and win by six goals.

Have to agree with you have posted
Can I ask you about the Norwood 3 flags in a row in 2012-2014 under Bassett and Warren

Also whats your thoughts on Sturts dominating style in the 5 in a row 1966-1970 under Jack Oatey ?

I'll be there with a bunch of mates from the Riverland. I don't think any of us have any preferences as to who wins, just so long as we see some good footy!

You put your neck on the line unlike so many on here who only post after a win - yes you know who you are.
Try not to shoot Bambi again this week either, the pile on after was as misguided as it was comical.
