Hopefully we can get players of league standard unfortunately we have picked up to many good reserves players who arent good enough for league footy .

Yep... but I would suggest 3 of our top 6 this season have also been recruits... Fort, Grace and Grant

Sad part is it’s taking about 25 recruits to get them 3 ;)

Nic Gillard has retired from the CDFC, a pity.
Kicked 5 against West at Elizabeth this year,
I thought he showed a bit & could have been a future captain.

The 'Dogs have signed up the Clarence Football Club captain, a full back, exactly what we need.

If he is a future captain that sums up the club. He's a dud.

Not a dud. But definitely not a captain. A popular team mate nevertheless who clearly succumbed to his shoulder and hip injuries.

Zac Beuchner?
23yo who also spent time in the NEAFL.
Would have matched up on Grace in Tassie.

Buechner's info from the internet is pretty good - 192 cm and 90 kg as a 19 yr old, so probably a bit bigger now. Among the best players in Tasmania last year and in Clarence's best players in both their finals.

Not too disappointed another one who was a decent reserves player, had fleeting moments in the league but wasn't really up to the standard and found himself in and out of the side most years.

Really glad and encouraging to hear we are recruiting the right positions and even adding a bit of much needed size.

It feels like quite a few clubs are grabbing players from Tasmania in the past few years. I can't think of too many who have come from there who have been duds either so this bloke sounds like a good pickup

Does anyone know if Cooper Beecken and Luke Beecken are related. I'm sure 1 of them will get picked up.

Not a player but equally as important,
Central has appointed ex Tea tree Gully coach Justin Maschotta, as the new Academy Head Coach, which includes the U18's coaching position,
He will be leading & developing our junior coaches, as well as junior player development.
