Tasmania!
Although visiting several times in the past we have got off the beaten track a little at times this trip have seen and some absolutely stunning parts of the country and some wonderful people. Despite having pretty much no restrictions throughout the pandemic the lack of tourists from the mainland has hurt them but things are on the up again

Lovely place, every aspect of it, I loved the west coast as much as the known attractions.

It reminded me of what I think England would be like.

The direct flights to Launceston were probably what sealed the deal for us.
By 10:30am we had breezed through the border checks, picked up our rental and were out on the highway. So much better than flying into Hobart. With the ridiculous prices on airfares we are going to book a couple more short trips around our long weekends to get back here

Yeah same.

We are planning on going over at some stage in the next 12 month. Was thinking we should go in winter to get the full Tasmania experience. Partner is from Ireland so the cold wont/shouldn't bother her.

This time of the year is almost perfect. Everything is green, still some ice and snow on the very high peaks, the rivers and streams are in full flow with plenty of waterfalls and apart from a day or two of showers the weather has mostly been 17-20 with blue skies. Winter can be a bit dreary down here from previous visits but I would come down for some footy again

West Coast can get wild but East Coast is very similar to Adelaide as far as climate/rainfall goes in Winter.
