Played for them and was assistant coach.

Same year at Marryatville as Giannini, Bower, O'Leary (and a few others who have previously played) too that was a year behind Brimacombe which initself was a year behind Jolly.

Shame it's turned into a soccer school, was pretty fertile for PNU and Hectorville for a while there.

Good for our league I know but a bit of a sad state of affairs for the SANFL that the public are getting more information in the mainstream media about coaching appointments and recruits in the AdFL than the SANFL.

Every SANFL club has it's coach in place.

"Notable " recruits are normally spruiked after the draft.

Huge publicity shift though.

10 years ago if you were an active follower of the SAAFL you really had to rely on word of mouth to know what was going on.

Now any person with an AdelaideNow subscription can be intimately across new recruits to a Division 4 club. The coverage of the AdFL now almost exceeds what the coverage of the SANFL was 10 years ago.

Yep.

What was printed and delivered once a week and only to the local area (Messenger Newspapers) is now for anyone to see. Can only be a good thing.
