“Jared’s cooperation with this list option has been appreciated & will not affect his opportunities at AFL level in any way.”
He only played 5 games this year due to persistent hamstring injuries.

Still funny.

His relationship with Noble is good, he knows where he stands & what’s expected.
We could have shipped him off & paid some of wage, there would have been suitors. The club chose to keep him & he was happy to stay.

I highly doubt it. Three clubs, he's damaged goods. You're stuck with him.

Your kidding yourself if you don’t think he would’ve been picked up with North footing a chunk of his salary.
Remember, the three clubs he’s been at all wanted to keep him.

OFF-SEASON CHAT

IS POLEC WORTH ANOTHER CRACK?

Jared Polec has been delisted by North with the promise that they pick him up in the rookie draft. I am no guru on how it all works but would it be worth or even possible for Port to take him with their last National draft pick which I believe is currently 92? Port don’t have a great hand in the draft but it just might be worth looking at.

If I recall correctly Port only let Jared go as North were offering him huge overs that Port was unwilling to match (and fair enough too). Currently Port are in need of some outside speed and Polec could fit back into that role at a much reduced price. Of course there are arguments against it but if Port can get him back to his best like he was when he was last at the Port he has the potential to improve the squad.
