Both openers going hard, trying to improve the Net Run Rate.

Finch looked OK, Warner looked horrid
Agree with that, Warner didn't middle many at all while Finch muscled a few bombs over the boundary. Marsh absolutely smoked a few too as he finishes with 16 off 5 and Australia wins by 8 wickets.

Comprehensive victory, now onto the West Indies on Saturday night.

And the media thinks we're world beaters again.

OK, how about we go back to basics, keep that XI we have as it's basically the best XI we can put on the park within our squad, keep the same batting line-up too perhaps except for swapping Smith and Maxwell.

Yeah agreed, that has to be the XI the Aussies stick with now.

*Unless they play a game where the conditions suit the spinners and Agar comes in for one of the quicks.

Batting in sunnies hahaha oh boy. Bit of cameo from him and Lewis as they looked like they will explode then Aussies pegged it back but now Pollard is looking dangerous.

Aussies win by 8 wickets to book their spot in the semis.
How about SA Footys favourite Dave Warner haha, 89* (56) ;)
Marsh 53 (32)

I'm surprised South Africa just held off England to win by 10 runs, huge win but England retains top spot in Group 2.

Sth Africa pretty unlucky to only lose the 1 match and not make the Semi Finals especially if NZ dont beat Afghanastan and India go through (assuming they beat Namibia) by getting THRASHED in 2 games. :?

We chased 80 odd against Bangladesh in seven overs, South Africa they chased down 80 odd against the Bangas in 13 overs. Theres the semi final result in a nutshell.

Out batting was better but when the pace was taken off the ball our timing looked ordinary.

Will be happy to get smoked by the Pakis so we can get back ASAP to start preparing for the ASHES.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hopefully NZ beat Afghanistan tonight so NZ qualify and India misses out.

A England v Pakistan final is still the most likely match up IMO.

The WC Semis are the 11th and the 12th and the Final is on the 15th and Australia's Intra Ashes squad match is on the 1st-3rd of December. Depending on when the Aussies finish the World Cup and how much quarantine the players have to do once they arrive home it remains to be seen if the likes of Warner, Smith, Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood and possibly Wade and Marsh can train while in quarantine and even play in the Intra Squad match.
