Another wet end to the week. Has been like clockwork this season.

Looks like it's set in for the afternoon plus 2-8mm tomorrow

Sheesh

Were you watching at Prospect Oval yesterday?

Would be some interesting viewing if any clubs could get frogbox to work properly!

Is it a problem with the set up at the ground or maybe an issue with the central control office? I believe the clubs set up and log in and then the streaming is controlled via a central location? Something to do with the match IDs on MyCricket and then FrogBox being given the correct details from someone at SACA/Grade Cricket coordinator?

The problem is the human element

The scorer has to click "bowler running in" when the bowler starts his run up. Every single delivery for the whole game. That way the system knows when a new delivery is starting and the previous delivery has ended. Once the score for that delivery is entered (dot ball, single, boundary, wicket etc) the footage gets automatically coded. So you can later see all the wickets or boundaries or whatever.

However if the scorer is late clicking the button the footage doesn't match. Often they're behind or miss something and are busy correcting an error or working out who's bowling. The system works well if there's a switched on scorer and nothing slightly unusual happens (eg the batters cross during a catch or get called for one short etc)

Kelvin Smith 186* after a late start at Henley.

It would be a shame if he never got another chance at First Class level. I haven’t seen Kelly and others from other clubs, but he’s a class above the likes of Drew and Harry Nielsen and doubt there’s been a better batsman at West Torrens since David Hookes. The Redbacks could do worse than giving him a run at 5 or 6 in the Shield team.

At 6/180 East Torrens would have been confident of only chasing 200 odd. Then 7/294 and Pengelley the one out!

Lots of teams in 1st and 2nd Grade sent the opposition in then went for big runs. Understandable given the week. Good toss to lose

I switched on the 2nd Grade game down at Port to see WT sent in and in a bit of trouble at 4/0, then 5/4 after about 12 overs. Eagles got to 90 and Port 6 down at stumps with a few more runs to make. Along with WT 2’s, Kensy A’s will be hoping for a washout next week with TTG 7/126 chasing 127.

Think Drewy might have taken this call a bit personally today Aerie!

And batted brilliantly again. 290+ runs in a weekend ain't bad. At one point Kelv was in the 90s and reckon Drewy was 70 odd. Drewy beat him to 100 and then his second ton must have been 40-45 balls tops. Incredible to watch. Not sure if a Premier side has ever made 400+ in a 50 over match before?

Top 4 batters for WT all made DUCKs and incredibly faced a combined total of 60 balls !!!!!!
How can that even be possible ? 60 balls without a run ? :?

Did they recruit any youngsters from other clubs or target interstate recruits this season?

Got the chucker from Southerns, reckon that was about it. With several teams undefeated going to make it tough for them now.

What happened with Glenelg's game vs TTG yesterday - total wash out?
