Blewett and McIntyre mid nineties ?

I’m sure Ryan Harris and Dizzy played together didn’t they?

Dizzy had sailed off into the sunset before Harris had his debut

Am I correct in saying they played an extra hour all up?

Should be getting through at least 100 overs if that's the case.

Absolutely disgusting for the paying spectators to be swindled like that.

With 4 Quicks part of there attack it was always going to be hard. Plus there spinner. Was getting sent over the fence. All take time.

You've not convinced me there Stan.

Of course that'll eek up a bit of time, but to be that far short is absolutely pathetic IMO.

This was never, ever, a problem in the old days.

Yep, Stokes gives them an extra option, they if they don’t have a spinner they should play an extra bat and use Root as the spinner, Leach will win MOTM for Australia, his ton made Head look like Taverae.

Ray made 100 , a top effort as he was a bowling all rounder
Very emotional test for Ray
He had to quit his job to play in this test match , as his employers would not give him time off

Travis Head one of the greatest mentally courageous innings Ive seen in Test cricket
The courage to play his way, and succeed, when under pressure to perform

He now has the fastest Test ton played at the Gabba :prayer:

He will probably slash and get caught out for little tomorrow or his next dig, its the way he plays, the way he's gotta play

Yep, terrible over rate and they should be suitably punished for it, surely they will be docked WTC points for it.

Was laughable when Starc gets a wicket first ball of the test and they bring drinks out. Too much wasted time with drinks, glove changes etc

During the first session of day one Australia bowled 26 overs, (-4) not good.

During the first session of day two which included the extra half an hour, England bowled 31 overs (about -6/-7), bad.

During the second session of day two England bowled just 23 overs (-7), very bad.

In 4.5 hours England had only bowled 54 overs (-13/-14), horrible!

For SA yes but Dizzy was finished by June 2006 and Harris didnt play for Australia until two years later IIRC[/quote]
I read on ESPN Cricinfo that the last SA pair to bat together was Darren Lehmann and Jason Gillespie in 2004.

I Googled it and it looks like that was against Sri Lanka during the third test in Colombo where Lehmann made 153. Boof and Dizzy had a partnership of just 4 runs from 2.4 overs in Australia's first innings. Dizzy got a 10 ball duck.

Bowling that many no balls is simply cheating
