Wonder how close to a record that is?

So that was a good won but bit of work still to do for the Aussies.

Harris opening is a worry and Starc's leaking of runs as always still has some question marks.

Nesser looks in good form and there are a few players making runs below the national team.

For England, they'll be better in Adelaide than what they served up here. This looked like there first hit out for a while to be honest. Surely Anderson and Broad play in Adelaide.

5 points must be the max penalty, 14 overs short is a disgrace

Trav Head was docked 15% of his match fee thanks to a stump mic picking up his bad language

I know I harp on about it but it's another missed opportunity for Cricket Australia.

If you start a test on a Saturday, you get maximum audience and attendance. This weekend, what are cricket fans doing?

Just dumb in my opinion. I would start every test on a Saturday. It makes zero sense to me starting a test with minimal audience - both viewing and in person, and it allows other sports the opportunity to prevail whilst test matches languish. Something needs to be done so the sport doesn't die here and internationally.

Rant over.

Seems like the ICC allowed 9 overs of “time allowance” for picking Leach’s deliveries out of the grandstand

" David Boon of the Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Joe Root’s side was ruled to be five overs short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration. "

I do have to laugh at Carey getting the record and the ‘fuss’ about it.

Jesus if he dropped any of them he wouldn’t get a gig as a Sunday league keeper!!

He kept well, hardly noticed which is a great thing but realistically he had one half chance (short ball of Starc) and he spilt it. Everything else he did was the bare minimum for an international keeper.

Struggled with the bat big time as well.

Has it been officially announced that Hazlewood will be rested?
It was mentioned in Cummins press conference yesterday that Hazlewood has a slight side strain.
