I agree, and I would be happy to get that information, and i'd find it useful - whereas now i just hear xx amount of daily cases and honestly just zone out.
Yeah I agree with you, we are going to get more cases. It's going to happen, it is happening and we cant just shut the state down each time. I thought most people would think like this but my word there are some bed wetters out there.

I also honestly think if the election wasn't so close the borders would be shut and we'd be in lockdown right now. The looming election is just forcing the government to look to move forward with this.

I understand why they're sending people into isolation, I don't agree with it, I reckon a negative after 3 days and off you go, but that's a hell of a lot different to locking the state down, that won't happen again.

Glad I don't work in that neck of the woods anymore.

Two buildings closed and being deep cleaned, but it hasn't appeared on SA Health's list of exposure sites. Hmmmm....

I've been to two lunches this week
There is no doubt that the tide has turned on QR
People are putting the phone up to the code and making out they are doing it
I had lunch with 3 Sicktorians on Tuesday. They say people are avoiding it in Melbourne as well

There comes a time where people just get jack of incompetence and rebel

From the SA Health FB page

On the 5th day of Christmas Marshall gave to me:
5 under investigation,
4 high risk exposure sites,
3 vaccinations needed,
2 patients in hospital
and a Christmas in quarantine.
Thank you a truly magical gift for a state that has worked hard!

So why is a traveller from NSW out having tea at a restauraunt awaiting a covid test result after flying in?

Why the f dont we have the rapid antigen test at the airport when they get off the plane? Its like they want to half stop it getting in, much like getting half pregnant

That’s what I don’t understand.
Why wasn’t the dude quarantined until he got the results?

Because the rules are isolate until you have a test. Once you are tested you are free to go and don’t need to await the result.
It was done that way to keep the flow of business people coming to the state, they can get off the plane and get tested straight away and then head to their meetings, conferences etc and then fly out often on the same day
No one would come to the state if they had to wait 6-12hrs for a test result when they only are here for a few hours.

Yeah right!

That’s a shit sandwich if I’ve ever seen one.
Why bother even doing the test then?
By the time you get the results you’ve infected X amount of people already.

Because if you have come from NSW, VIC or the ACT where cases are high you would have needed to have had a negative test result no more than 72hrs before entering the state. This bloke has tested negative on that test and then positive on the arrivals test which means that there is only a 3 day window tops where you are infectious

I believe that the requirement to isolate until the arrival test proved negative changed over the weekend because the government were told all these punters were going to turn up this morning and miss the first day of the cricket because they had to isolate

So now, you arrive, have a test, and go have a fat time infecting everyone if you have it. Oh hang on, they're not allowed into a high risk area nor dance or drink standing up (thank %^$# for that)

Seriously; why should we take anything seriously if these effwits keep letting us down with stupid effing rules.

And, if you are not vaccinated, steer clear of the desert.

The PCR test isnt accurate anyway but lets not go down that path.
It doesnt have to be as accurate, i believe its more likely to find you positive so whats wrong with that? If the antigen test finds you positive then its isolate until you have a PCR test and negative result is given. That would be too much common sense though.
No need for a PCR if youre negative. Would save the State a fortune, $200 vs $30 is roughly what im led to believe it costs.

Because A lot of what you e believe with respect to COVID is wrong

The PCR test actually test if you have the virus and are far more sensitive especially in the early infective phase. Like all biomedical tests its not perfect and there is error associated with it. it has been demonstrated to be 99.5% accurate, Cleveland clinic reported a study on approximately 95000 people and over 100000 tests, 1954 positive responses with 49 false positives and 51 false negatives (0.05%) https://virologyj.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12985-021-01489-0

Rapid antigen test are designed to test if your body is reacting to a virus. So it only test if your body is responding. It is far less sensitive that a PCR test and is more likely to say you are negative to COVID when in fact you have it, are a symptomatic and are infective..
