Turns out with Root being out and the cooler temp today with the ball nipping around like that we should have put them back in.

Plenty of time for the bowlers to back up before Melbourne as our 2 best bowlers aren't playing today.

Bit soon for Hunt, bit late for Usman, only leaves one other unless he gets injured crossing it

They are going to need to bat through 2 night sessions to save the test. Batting weather there is still only one result

The whole light thing with a new ball is a bit of a poison challis. Ordinarily you would declare just before tea but this whole bowling under lights with the new might see a later than usual decleration.

If England but well tonight they are very much a chance of saving the game against an inexperienced bowling line up

Only this year - generally the Adel test has been in late Nov/early Dec which means most if not all the last session is under lights.

Harris CAN’T PLAY

I think they'll stick with Harris for a home boxing day test if they win here.

If they do drop him, it would have to be Khawaja that opens - he's the only other specialist bat in the squad, and has opened previously.. but I think Warner will get a say on who he opens with, and he hasn't seemed a fan of Khawaja in the past.

I reckon the opposite. They won’t chase down 300+ on Day 5 of an Adelaide test
