"So they're 50 / 50. So it what's the point of being vaccinated?" I hear a cry.

Here's the maths. There are currently 101 people in hospital. Let's say 51 of them are vaxxed and 50 of them are not.
There are current 1.7m people in SA.

89% of people are fully vaccinated.

So 1.5 million people are vaxxed.
200k people are not.

So 51 out out 1.5m vaxxed people are in hospital

50 out of 200,000 unvaxxed people are in hospital

That's a 1 in 30,000 chance of being in hospital for vaxxed people

That's a 1 in 4,000 chance for unvaxxed people.

But yeah, why bother getting vaccinated?

Can you repeat that for Alan Jones, Craig Kelly and Clive Palmer??

Has Omicron changed Corona from a virus to a disease?
The premier has started calling it a disease as often as he says flex up.

      Fair enough.
Just an observation that everyone else seems to say “this/the virus” Marshall seems to always go with “this disease” - same same but different.

I’m double vaxxed and currently have Covid, Tuesday night was its worst (my day 3) I’m not going to lie it was absolutely f**king horrible, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. SA health explained to me being double vaxxed will minimise my symptoms and reduce my condition. I got the horrible news yesterday that my Unvaxxed 7 and 9 year old daughters are now both positive. I’m big enough and ugly enough to fend for myself, but I’m really dreading the next couple of days and hope to Christ they don’t get it as server as I had it. :YMPRAY: :YMPRAY:
