Joe Root ffs.

Not sure you could possibly have a worse dismissal.

Nah, i want Carey to succeed but just cant see how he possibly can at test level. His either in survival mode or smash mode. Just looks completely out his depth with the bat in hand.

Agree. With the test championship meaning every game counts we have to get them in tonigh.

We already above a par score, let the tailenders have a smash and then get them in there for a nasty 45 minutes.

What about Green and his lack of runs?
Lucky he has taken a couple of wickets this series………

Greens batting clearly hasnt been up to it but the value of his actual bowling has been great nevermind the unmeasurable of giving the quicks a rest and their performance benefitting.

Realistically it should be Harris out and Khawaja to the top but the selectors have thrown themselves in a pickle there.

Head has been great this season and deserves his spot straight back but there is never that sense of 'being in for the big haul' you get compared to watching an inform Khawaja. Head always feels like he could get out every ball. Khawaja has a good record against our next opponent the Pakistanis as well if that carries any weight.

I guess its why selectors get paid the big dollars. Its better than the alternative and having easy selection coz everyone is out of form.

No he doesn’t.
Trav is automatically back next test and they aren’t letting Khawaja open

I reckon Kawaja is the most consistent coming in at number 5 for Queensland. He has made quite a few runs for the bulls and he comes in and makes a ton in his first innings back in. That goes to show you that he has some quality. Yes Head has played extremely well and deserves his spot too. Just think Kawaja is a proven run scorer in the middle of the order.

Will be even more interesting if we bat again this test and Harris makes a ton. Then that will give the selectors a massive migraine when picking the side for the 5th and final test. And everyone will be wanting to play in that test.
