Smart watches. I now know exactly how many steps it is to pick up my car the next morning from most local pubs.

West Thebby 2000 steps
Hope Inn 2250 steps
Findon 2500 steps
Halfway Hotel 3100 steps
Hotel Royal 4000 steps

That's about as far as I'm willing to go.

A pub crawl would get you to 10000 steps a day!!

Combination of vitamins, stretches, exercises. Now that we know the exact point where the injury is we should be able to really pin point exercises to suit.

Sadly though it is only injury management and does not solve the problem. Long term im going to have back issues and will most likely require surgery at some point.

Its a step forward though after years and years of being told, its just a sprain/strain, your just getting old give up sport, its just the beginning of arthritis.

I’ve had a bulging disc for about 10 years and for me it is just about managing it and knowing what you can and can’t do.
I’ve done years of Chiro and physio and none of that crap worked for me.

Best thing for me is not sitting(I’ve had a standup desk at work for 10 years now) and keep active.
Plenty of walking and light stretches.
Don’t stretch too much as you’ll aggravate it.

Yeah sitting absolutely kills me. My posture is horrendous as well so will be making a focus effort on fixing that.

Probably give up the aussie rules/rugby now so I limit the amount of long term damage but will continue to play cricket/tennis.

Also found when it flares up having the courage to just admit it straight away, go home from work and get ice and start treatment immediately makes a huge difference. Used to be worried about saying anything as everyone would think I'm just a whinger with a little bit of back pain.

When mine would flare up I’d ice and rest up but it is the worse thing you can do.
Keep moving even if you just walk around the house very slowly.

I've had 3 slipped discs for about 30 years following a sporting accident 8-[ (one on one rugby scrums when pi$$ed)
They herniated about 20 years ago from not looking after them

Apart from managing the injury, I've always had to find the right chiro.
I'm using a really good one now if you want his name.
