Uzzie has done very well.

Occasionally we get them wrong…..live and die with the comments

Still reckon I’m in the positive with the ‘blonde don’ call.

Cant argue with this

Same argument can be applied to Alex today.

Apologies if this is the wrong thread (please move if needed) but I see there's a 2nd X1 game on next week v QLD at Campbelltown starting Monday. Side on MyCricket as follows:
SL Kerber
JS Buckingham
BT Capel
R King
DM Grant
*J Lehmann
SH Johnson
NA McSweeney
D Drew
TL Oakley
+H Matthias
C Kelly
K Brazell

Some interesting selections:

Buckingham cant play for us tomorrow as has sore leg, and
Spencer has not bowled in six weeks with sore foot, can bowl limited overs tomorrow - why they both playing in a four day game is bizarre

Corey Kelly in middle of three game suspension from their game vs Uni, thought he had one more game, would this count?

Lehmann - why bother, will be delisted in two months time, give another kid a go!

Whilst I agree, I am sure that it's for captaincy purposes.

That would be nice, really don’t want to face Corey Kelly on an overcast day on a hard wicket that has a massive crack in the concrete lol

I believe you can play up at a higher level but not the same or below.

In the end didn’t matter as we got washed out but don’t think he was going to play on this occasion.

His normally good for one to two games a year for Burra and they alway seem to end up against us.

I don't think the Shield fixture has been released for the remainder of the season due to uncertainty around covid etc.

At a guess, I'd think they'd be due to resume in the next fortnight given they've got 5 rounds to go, and the season has to wrap up by end of March.

Redbacks players been told they commence weekend of Feb 11. Nothing been announced publicly by CA yet. Would expect that to happen in next couple of days. Can’t imagine WA players would want another 6 weeks away from home but don’t think there is any other options if they want to play!

I wonder what side SA will pick? Their last team was:

Hunt*
Weatherald
Carder*
Head*
Carey*
Nielsen
Scott*
McAndrew*
Worrall
Grant
Pope

*those who probably deserve to be picked based on their performances earlier in the season/Australian players

Head may be missing with the T20’s? Carey and Head then head off to Pakistan in March. There’ll be some chances for the next generation of batters you’d imagine. Kelly, Drew, Capel?
