Para teachers A1s in 1994 and 1995. Great lad...very chilled. Tell him I say HI...from the leggie.

Good side back then, had some great battles.

Now I’m scratching my head trying to think of your name, I remember Haese and Bell straight off the top of my head,I’ve damaged a couple of the few brain cells I have since then.

Played just 2 seasons there. A1s under Haesey but we were relegated. A2s under Jascinski the following year before being enticed back to A1s for Atco with the Hayes Boys and Big Grenville.
In that year (1996?) I had unique distinction of being picked in the Association side to play on Saturday and the 35 & Overs Association team on the Sunday. The oldest to the youngest in the respective teams.
Also lucky enough to be part of Tomkins Bishop and Heidrich era at Smith field in early 80s.
Small fella. Bowled leggies and batted from square leg.

Unfortunately as an Englishman who as a rule can't stand the Australian Cricket team (except for the South Aussies, always want them to do well), I am suffering some serious issues with Cummins.

I think he is a star, not only as a cricketer but as an excellent human being. This does not compute with all previous Aussie Captains, except for Mark Taylor, I liked him as well...

Bloody cricket...

Don't worry I think a lot of people have the same issues with Joe, pretty hard bloke to hate imo. Especially when compared to Atherton, Hussain and co.

I liked both of them

I wasn't a Tubby fan though.

I generally find that I like most pommy players, Freddy is one of my first picked for favourite players XI.

Yeah I reckon we all wish we had a Freddy in our team both onfield and offfield.

I met Kevin Peterson at Heaven (may have been HQ by then) after they lost an Australia Day one dayer and he was great value, bought me and a few mate a round of drinks for letting him push infront of us because we were struggling to get served where we were standing at the bar...his 6ft and a fair bit height plus the bleach funky hair cut he had at the time got the bar ladies attention very quickly.

Even had the time for a quick chat.

Yep, I was trying to remember the skipper, Jaz, we'd all catch up at the Vil or McMahons afterwards.

I remember you now, I reckon you got a 7fa against us as we all tried smashing you over cow   .

I reckon we played association together with Gren and possibly Carps? we drew at the Paddocks.

Great days.

I played at the Gardens for two seasons about 7 years apart though, played hard wicket at Smithfield mainly.

Would there be maybe one more specialist batsmen (an opener) given potential Covid issues that could arise.

Yup, meant to include Harris

May squeeze Maxwell out if they only want to take 16

Because of Covid
Would we include MIGHTY_WADE_87 ?
CAN open[ on most sub cont pitches]
Can bat middle order
Can wicket keep
Can combine the top 3

MW87 gives options

Because of Covid
Allrounders give options
So would we consider Mitchell Marsh , Moses Henriques, and players of similar ilk
They are good enough to replace a batsman

No way in the world would I be playing another allrounder in addition to Green and Lab/Smith/Head who can all bowl.

And no way in the world would I be playing fewer than 5 specialist batsmen, let alone replacing one of our top five with M. Marsh or Henriques.

Oh thats gold!
So the 7fa you mention was for less than 20 in a one dayer. Which was great cos I didn't have to face you. Lol.
Reckon Mags was playing that day (ex teammate from my Smithfield days). He introduced me to Yngwie Malmsteen... happy days.

As an ex Cat I always felt the Club was in good hands when you were running things there.

I reckon I'll get selected before Harris.

Take Hunt, Ward or Jewel for some work experience.

Personally I don't think Maxwell would like to go although he'd be an ideal back-up.

They'd take 20 IMO.

Neither wood I
The question is do you take these '''''flexible'''''players for COVID insurance in a squad of players?

Yeah I would rather Hunt or Street to go then Harris, albeit I don’t really know what their capabilities against spin are like.

If your taking 18-20 blokes I agree you probably do look at Mitch marsh as cover for Green and then potentially Wade who is your short term mr fix it, if things with Covid go real pear shaped.

Tbh Marsh might go anyway as they may want that number 6 bat / pace option guaranteed in the event Green goes down. That then lets them still play the two front line spinners
