Good luck!

Mrs Boon's OHSC had a positive there last week, that's turned into 7 kids and 2 staff since Friday. Schools are going to be a shit show.
Interesting as in the North East there was a OSCH with a positive case. Just taking to some friends of ours as they are connected to that school and OSCH.

Seems like a family took a child to OSCH and they knew he wasn't well, went down hill later that day and the OSCH obviously sent him.

It was later in the evening that the OSCH was informed he was Covid positive which seemed like a very quick turnaround for testing.

The theory is that but isn't confirmed is that they got him tested the following day but instead of isolating they sent him to OSCH and the results popped up as positive.

That has turned in to a shit mess with all the staff and about 15 kids testing positive.

So nearly 4K cases today resulting in a grand total of 7 hospitalisations.
We seem to be doing much better than most other states.
Being up in Palm Cove currently I can see why as despite check ins and fully vaxxed being mandatory to enter all venues the mask use is very lax and rarely enforced

1yo son tested positive after an infected kid went to the same child care centre on Friday (as Booney suggested earlier school re-openings are going to be a shit-show). He's feeling fine. The rest of us all fine and tested negative. So 14 fun days in iso with two young kids coming up, when the boy himself is right to go after 10 days. I could go and get tested again at day 6 and come back negative, but that's irrelevant as to the length of the iso period (as we cant quarantine separately).

Yeah logical.. ](*,) And over the top IMHO.

Agree, my missus took one today before work as required and it was blank, she thought it must be a dodgy one and went to work. I went to the fridge to get a drink 20 mins later and noticed it on the kitchen bench now showing the distinct 2 lines for a positive result. Quickly rang her and she took another test at work and it was negative. What a shit-show!
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Yep any outdoor sport will only be classed as casual contacts so no need to isolate, just monitor for symptoms.

Had my Booster shot yesterday. Wait in car til last minute then head in, give me some form to fill in that I had to do outside in their waiting area. Then get call from nurse saying if paperwork is done I can proceed to the inside waiting area. Waited about 2 minutes then nurse calls me in (cracked the shits I had an exemption so was maskless but thats another matter). So had I been Covid positive, I can't spread it in the 2 minutes I waited as opposed to the 5 mins I could have been there?

It's why they didn't want to approve RAT tests
Even the packet says they're unreliable
As far as I can remember, every CMO/CHO said they were useless but then they became political so the governments relented
Just shows what complete $hitshow all of this is

Starting getting symptoms (sore throat and a lot of coughing) Sunday arvo, went out to Tailem Bend to get a PCR test yesterday at lunchtime.
Result back late last night (less than 12th) and it’s a positive.
In a smallish house with 5 of us, this’ll be fun for a while….
