Neither wood I
The question is do you take these '''''flexible'''''players for COVID insurance in a squad of players?

If your taking 18-20 blokes I agree you probably do look at Mitch marsh as cover for Green and then potentially Wade who is your short term mr fix it, if things with Covid go real pear shaped.

Tbh Marsh might go anyway as they may want that number 6 bat / pace option guaranteed in the event Green goes down. That then lets them still play the two front line spinners

Marsh is going, that's a no-brainer for mine.

I don't think they'll take too many, if they can still provide XI then they'll be forced to play, if 10 out of 20 got covid the match would be deferred.

We won't want to sacrifice our rankings for the sake of having a game and fielding a 2nd string side.

Agreed, however knowing Uzi's beliefs I thought it was a bit ordinary that his team mates took champagne out there on stage in the 1st place

Anyone seen the video of Cummins reigning the goat in at the bar where the barmy army and Aussie players are having a sing off.

It’s nothing bad but funny watching Cummins signal to Lyon not to do something

It's from Khawaja's Instagram story, the Aussies are singing True Blue and Gazza wanted to sing the team song but Cummins said No haha. Gazza looks like he's enjoying himself and it looks like the Aussies have had a decent circuit today.

There's another video that Steve Smith posted of both the Aussies and the Barmy Army singing Sweet Caroline in unison.

They're still allowed to celebrate how they've always known to celebrate IMO, if you're a vegan and you go out for dinner with a heap of friends you can't expect them to not pick the rib-eye.

That's fair enough then, didn't pay much attention but it looked like Patty was telling him to wind it in.

TBH, I don't know why this footage gets posted, I think it's great that they can let their hair down so everyone should put their phones away and let them enjoy their downtime.

Yep be inclusive and respectful but don’t change what you do to suit others beliefs especially when they’re in the minority still

What a strange comparison, don't know how you guys eat but I don't tend to bathe people in rib eye steak juices.

Agree, there would be have been a lot of AFL blokes in trouble if phones were as common in the lates 90’s early 2000’s

It was interesting to see though that Pat is definitely the leader on and off the phone and that they respect him heaps. When he signals for Lyon there is no argument or anything like that he just decides to take Pats advice straight away.

I do wonder if that was the same under Smith, Pat seems to be a more commanding/authoritive figure

Judging by the lack of appeal when batsmen have edged one I’m not sure you would get a shout from him either.

The champagne squirt lasted 2-3 seconds, no one would have noticed if they didn't take it out onto stage

I too think the champagne spray is unnecessary , does nothing for the celebration
