Obviously Langer coaches the way he played, sends teams out with a a bit of shit up em, playing on the edge whilst the playing group feel they are mature enough to play in a calmer, more clear minded environment. Neither is wrong.

My money is on Andrew McDonald to get the gig full time, he would understand both batting and bowling elements real well and on the few occasions I met him when he was in SA he seemed a very calm, articulated kind of guy. A real Pat Cummins style operator

I hope not.

Hasn't he already ruled himself out of the gig on a full time basis due to having a young family?
Where did you read that?

read it as well, cant remember where but was also stated on this forum a page or 3 back[/quote]Yeah you posted about it on Saturday haha, I thought I read it too but can't find where and that's why I asked AM Bays.

Isn't that everyone's reason why they don't want the job? Is it to push the value up?

I reckon Bayliss has it, I see Dizzy is 4th in line but as much as I love him you've gotta ask the question.

If David Hussey got it I think I'll move to another country.

Despite two major international roles being vacant after the Ashes, South Australia's head coach says he's happy where he is

"I am not putting myself up for any jobs, I'm fully committed to South Australian cricket," Gillespie said today.

"I've got a lot of work to do here and I'm absolutely loving it."

"It's nice to be thought of in that way, but it's not something I'm entertaining," Gillespie said when asked if he was flattered to have been mentioned as a possible successor to Langer, who resigned last Saturday.

"I've got the greatest job in the world here at South Australia, and I've got two wonderful roles (also with Strikers), so I'm fully committed and fully focused on those.

"We feel we're building something here in South Australia, and I'm excited to play some small part in that."

I believe that in the way JL has been treated any past players that would consider coaching would have changed their minds now. You would've thought the likes of Mark Taylor, Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Haydon, Ricky Ponting and a few others would've been knocking down the door to wanna be coach. But after witnessing the treatment of how JL was treated. Good luck in ever getting these blokes to ever want to think about coaching Australia. Especially with all the prima donas playing for Australia and the clowns that run CA. So we will have to get used to having a nuff nuff coaching us or a puppet that the players choose to coach them. And god forbid if the new coach makes a decision that's against the player's. "How dare you tell us off! We put you there. You can't tell us what to do!".

Wade is back in and from now on the training schedule EVERY day looks like:

Mornings - Yoga
Midday- Pilates
Afternoon- Tai Chi
Net sessions are not mandatory.

That should give the players the calm atmosphere there looking for

JL was an arrogant wanker, that is why he isn't coaching anymore, you can't install respect from your group by yelling at them louder.

You need to do a bit more research into the actual issue mate, do you think CA just made a decision overnight on the matter, it's harder to get the arse from coaching the Australian side than what it is to get appointed.

Micky Arthur is the only Aussie coach in the past 40 years to be sacked.

Would've thought you'd need Pakistani citizenship to be eligible.
