Hearing just quietly a few good signings coming soon for Mawson Lakes. Some very talented Div 5 players. Be a very good pick up for them.

Hope Salisbury stick firm and don't let them all go.

From what I have heard they are close mates with Mawson's B grade coach. And only 1 played last year in the A grade. But the other's are div 5 quality.

Salisbury to either take the bye in D7, or take Smithfield's spot if they cant get two teams up?

Sad news for Salisbury.

Always had a shit load of respect for them. They were the absolute powerhouse club during my junior days in the 90s'

Are Salisbury struggling that hard where they will go down to divvy 7? That's sad to hear.

Whilst i don't know the Salisbury situation its sad that now at most football / cricket clubs its very few doing lots and lots and when they leave for one reason or another not many offer to pick up the slack.

Becuase Smiffies are coming back from hiatus, im not sure whether it was in their T&Cs that they have to produce two teams or it's no deal.

If Salisbury can scrape together one side, I wonder whether the option of Salisbury going down to D7 and being Smiffies B grade is an option.

I reckon the Crabs and Mitchell Park did this one year

I remember that.. wasn’t sure if that was still an option these days or not?

Who would get priority in regards to being the A/B grade?

2014, Mitchell Park A grade, Flinders Uni B grade. Mitchell Park was given till Feb 15 2015 to gather 55 signed and sealed players which was highly scrutinised by the league, as it should have been to ensure names weren’t made up. I must say JK and the league were awesome in their help thru that process and Mitchell Park went on to win the Div 7 premiership that same year. Terrific story and lots of hard work from lots of people to keep the Lions going. Flinders Uni went on to regroup as well.

Any insight on whether Smithfield will end up fielding a team this season? Haven’t once seen players at the oval when I’ve drove past around training time on tuesdays and thursdays

Smithfield unlikely to field a team in D7.

I'm personally devastated at the extra bye and not travelling interstate anymore.

Really disappointed for them…..hard to see how the generate the energy to try and have another crack at it.

Kind of feel it will have to be led by a bunch of ex players who eventually decide to go back and rally the mates to come with them.
