Final four a locked in with one week of the minor round to go.

Burra and Orroroo will finish either 1st or 2nd, Spalding will finish 3rd or 4th, whilst Pekina and Booleroo will play against each other for the remaining final spot with the winner potentially going to third if Spalding trip up.

Final are here...…..

Burra lose their last four on the trot to drop into second place on the final day of the minor round and lose the home final in week 1. Pekina chased down 150 at Booleroo to win their way into week 1 of the finals.

Orroroo (1) vs Burra (2) @ Orrorro winner straight into the GF, loser into the prelim
Spalding (3) vs Pekina (3) @ Spalding winner into the prelim, loser knocked out.

That's a great run chase by Pekina. Reckon Booleroo would have been quite confident making 150.

Yeah agree...….especially when Joel Durnford produces 1/5 off his 8 overs. So essentially they hit 140 off the other 32 overs.

Pekina got up over Spalding in absolute classic sadly for us.....

Spalding bowled out for 97, exactly what we deserved in a poor batting performance. 3 blokes out off full tosses and an incredible direct hit run out.

A lot of fight was shown though and Pekina got the runs 9 down with 5 balls to spare.... Declan Duffy with a match winning innings.

In the other game Orroroo have made it to the GF easily beating Burra which was their fifth straight defeat.

Next week Burra and Pekina do battle to make it in the GF.

Venue for Burra v Pekina?
GF at Orroroo or neutral?

Any news or rumours around the place.

Sadly Spalding have lost Isaac Pearce after he did an ACL in footy this year and requires a knee reconstruction.

Spalding to start the year slow with a few players away and end of year footy trip causing some disruption.

Would think Orroroo would start early favourites.

I've heard nothing from Booleroo way, except that the crops look sensational! :D

Booleroo beat an undermanned Spalding (BSR Footy Trip Weekend) in Round 1.

Joel Durnford sending them down with wheels apparently. Booleroo will be around the mark for a finals spot.

Do they reduce the overs in hot weather? Or just soldier on?

Yes, is there a heat policy? On some of those grounds like Booleroo, 39 would feel 49!

If forecast at Pirie to be under 40 we play. Every game is 40 overs a side. The weekend forecast was for 39 so we played.

Us and Booleroo were discussing on the weekend that we wouldn't mind the idea though if the weather is say 38-40 we play but its t20.

Weak! Pirie comp rule is 42

not sure if heaps of people would be keen on traveling to play t20 less chance of getting a bat/bowl

Between batting and bowling i was out there on the weekend for 60 overs.......i was cooked....far too old for it.

Yeah that's the question, chatting a few beers i think most of our guys and booleroo guys would be happy provided it was in those conditions which would make it somewhat of a novelty, not a regular thing.

Booleroo make finals for the first time in a fair few years.

They needed to win and other results go there way in the final round today. They get bowled out for 80 all hope looks lost. They then bowl bel man out for 76 to sit in the fourth spot whilst other games finish.

Burra can jump into fourth spot despite the booleroo win if they defeat the undefeated top side Orroroo. They come out and hit a competitive 160. Orroroo then win it on the last ball of the game!!!

What a way to wrap up the minor round

1. Orroroo
2. Pekina
3. Spalding
4. Booleroo
