Yes, very surprised Tom Kelly not getting an opportunity. Looked comfortable at the BBL level and then has made huge scores at Grade level. Will they even get a game away though? Ridiculous amount of rain over there, they might as well see if the Queenslanders will come over here so they can play.

I saw on the Redbacks FB page the video of Henry Hunt being ambushed at Kensington training when they told him he was going to be captain. It would have been very funny if he said no!
I was also talking with someone from Kensington on the weekend who mentioned they had been speaking with some of the Sturt people at their match and apparently Kelly was told that he has to make more runs before they pick him. Go figure!!
As I've mentioned before and not wanting to pick on the bloke but Liam Scott has now had 11 games with a batting average of 20. At the end of the day you have to start justifying being selected instead of being given games in the hope you may come good.
Sadly I think the Redbacks have gotten worse under Gillespie.

So is it Dizzy , players or SACA?

The record was no better before Dizzy but they seem to be on the improve, not losing as easily or being totally embarrassed like they have been

You could put Jesus Himself in charge of the Spudbacks and still not improve on Dizzy's record. Can't do much if you don't have the cattle.

I don't think the new point scoring system has helped the cause, it does seem like we're winning more first innings but they don't count for FA anymore.

I'm liking the blooding of the youth that is going on but when they keep gifting games to the likes of the Papal Saint then we're never going to set the world on fire.

And surprise, surprise, start today delayed by rain

Cant believe they bothered going up there, and then Tuesday have a one day game in Sydney, that's going to be impossible also.

CA show no willingness to change like the AFL, both games should have been moved to Adelaide where we have perfect weather next week or so!

Just watching the live stream. Looks like there some action around the covers. Just had a look at the radar and it seems to be clearing up so there may be some play soon??

EDIT - SA won toss and elected to bowl and as they were about to walk out the covers went back on!! Does that mean that they'll send Johnson and Lindsay Buckingham back to play for WT this weekend?

SA win the toss and choose to bowl.

No sooner than that happens, the covers come back on.

Because of this:

2019/20
Matches 5, Innings 7, Runs 65, Highest Score 25
2020/21
Matches 3, Innings 6, Runs 260, HS 80
2021/22
Matches 3, Innings 3, Runs 29, HS 17

Ask the High Performance Manager!!!

(sorry but to not be completely mischievous - in 2017/18 & 2018/19 he scored 500+ in both those seasons).
