I mean it could turn on it's head and be a classic but why not have a bit of something in the pitch. Pakistan have a long history of great fast bowlers.

Last year they played SA at the same ground and it had a bit in the track. Not sure if they were kind of scared about the Australian attack on juicier pitches.

Yeah I’ll never understand it hey

He will say its a natural shot to him, he will say he scored runs of it, he will say it moved the field around but I just don’t get it and not convinced the runs to wicket ratio is that great

Against the spin too and on 97!! I don't understand why he'd play such a high risk shot either. Completely threw away 100 at the very least.

Match total
6/737

The 6 wickets
Shafique .......................... Caught a brain fade tried to hit Lyon into the Indian Ocean
Iman Al Haq .....................LBW
Ali ......................................Reverse sweep
Azam................................. Run Out
Warner...............................Bowled played a cut shot off middle and leg stump
Khawaja.............................Reverse sweep

4 poor shots and 1 run out = gifted wickets
Iman is the only batsman to be defeated by a bowler

Someone needs to put some olive oil and diet coke on this pitch

It doesn't look like its going to deteriorate too badly either.
Its not bullshit hot over there either to dry it out further.
They should just go for the highest test innings score record.

yeah agree weather conditions would make you think it wont break up to much.

If we get the chance I agree bat them into the ground. Smash their bowlers for the rest of the series. Hit 600 if possible.

So how could we realistically look at winning the test...…..

If we bat well enough today we could realistically get to say 4/490 by tea (1/110 each session).

Start to go a bit quicker after tea and score say 3/150 finish day 4 at 7/640 a lead of 170.

Maybe get a quick fire 30 runs on the morning of day 5 and declare with a lead of 200 and hope the pitch has turned into a minefield.

Watch us get bowled out for 350 now.

Not sure our 'don't lose first' attitude will set that up.

Wishful thinking, I know
Cummins had no faith in the bowlers in Sydney.
Chance at redemption somewhat by showing faith in the batsmen.
