Your a bit late to join the party.

If you blokes really were concerned about it you should have held your board to account when they sold the comp out.. No one from your club did. Nor did they try.

Will the AFL help us out, by letting us borrow players from either the power reserves or Crows reserves?

Seems a reasonable outcome re the Covid situation. Doubt it will have too much of an impact.

How?

The AFL clubs do it because all SANFL contracts have an AFL get out clause.

Do any contracts at non SANFL level have a SANFL get out clause?

Why would a player that's playing country footy on big brown paper bag money give that up to play in the SANFL for 4/5ths of f**k all.

When did I say anything about blokes on big money? If a SANFL club can't put 2 sides on the park they will come looking for players. It might be mid-range players who haven't had a crack at a league club or it might be some young talent but either way they will find a way with no second thought of how it will effect the local club. As another poster said, with the rules in place I can barely see this making an impact anyway.

You did not say players on big money.

What you did say is that the SANFL clubs would raid the local clubs and with no restrictions. You further stated that the said SANFL club would not have a second thought. These are all assertions by you.

So back to my questions as posted above,

How?

Do any contracts at non SANFL level have a SANFL get out clause?

Have you ever seen a local club hold a player back from going to a SANFL club... :?

Thanks.

A get out clause does exist. Question answered,

The how.

They would have to have a contract with the SANFL club. This would also make the contract with the local club defunct. Like SANFL players can say No to AFL clubs, the same goes for all players at other levels. Granted it would mean should a player wish to leave they could. It is consensual and can't just happen.

Point 9. Is the stat dec. What about it?

Like others, I think all of this is an unlikely scenario. That said, should a team be so devoid of players, I think they would forfeit the reserve grade, and if that bad, forfeit the league.

Hopefully we will never find out.

Sorry point 9 was from original post, edited to point 7 but didn't remove the original part.

So we are on the same page then and can stop whinging about the AFL 'taking' players?

I've heard this a few time from amateur league people. How often does that happen mid season? Can only speak for my club. I can't remember the last we picked up an amateur league player locally and/or got them mid season. Must've happened with other clubs seen as others agree but I can't think of any.

I can't remember any, for any club.

The reverse happens (by choice) every year with players leaving their SANFL club to go local/country prior to June 30.

Are you talking of the 7 day free trial. The site asks for credit card details. I notice on the Eagles face book there is a site Adelaide Live Stream that has an audio stream.
