Ill put it in here.

MCC have changed the laws as of October 1.

A new batter will be on strike following a caught dismissal even if the previous batter had crossed the middle before the catch was taken.

I like this for ammo/country cricket, the umpires watch the ball worried/happy their teammate is going to be out and its usually the one observant fielder who yells out, they didn't cross....makes it heaps easier at our shit level.

I always ask the ump if they crossed just to be a c**t

Other rule changes, saliva is now ball tampering and no more mankad its now a runout.
Dave Warner will be missed!

What?
The Mankad definition has been removed from law 41 (unfair play) and shifted to law 38 (run out)

You don't need to ask to be one.

Gotcha. Was confused by Army's post as a 'mankad' has always been scored as a run out. It has never been a separate mode of dismissal.

Does that mean you don’t have to be the bowling action and can simply throw the ball at the stumps if their out their crease.

Hallelujah !!!!

I've been going on about this for years knowing that i've got no ability to get it changed but it is / was the single most obvious change that was needed to the rules to simplify things and take out all the BS as to whether batters did or didn't cross.
Now i need to find another law to have a crack at.

Good to see Swepson get an opportunity, really interested to see he goes. I'm also interested to read/hear from the Aussies why he replaces Hazlewood and not Starc.

West Indies ended day three on 9/373 with a lead of 62.
Bonner 123
Stokes 2/42
The West Indies YouTube channel does a good job of presenting each day's highlights videos.

I would imagine due to the footmarks assisting Lyon? But we'll see what they say.

It'll be interesting to see how Lyon goes bowling with Swepson. From memory, the GOAT hasn't always performed so well when deployed in tandem with another slow bowler.

Yes that is probably part of the reason, I just read that Cummins has indicated he expects some reverse swing so maybe that's why they've decided to pick Starc ahead of Hazlewood.
